Why Career and Technical Education?

Career and Technical Education or CTE provides students with the academic and technical skills to succeed in future careers and develop skills to use throughout their lives. CTE classes prepare students for the world of work by introducing them to workplace competencies and makes academic content accessible to all students by providing instruction in a hands-on context.

Bastrop ISD provide opportunities for student to enter pathways in 9 different Career Cluster and obtain industry recognized certifications and articulated college credit in most of the pathways.
