• Hello, my name is Beverly Crocker. I love being your child's teacher. It is the best job ever! I have been in education for 22 years. The class I teach is dyslexia. I love teaching dyslexia because I get to facilitate students in becoming strong readers. But how did I get to 22 years in education and teaching dyslexia? Well I started teaching in 1999 at Waco ISD, then the Malone ISD, Connally ISD, Dallas ISD and Marlin ISD. The reason I moved from district to district is because I married a football coach. Yep, a football coach. He was a kicking coach and a great one at that. Then 7 years ago, I moved to Austin and began teaching for Elgin and Bastrop ISDs. I have been a teacher with BISD for 3 years now. I was given a position as a dyslexia teacher with RRE and like I said, "I Love It." I love teaching dyslexia so much that I am currently working on my therapist certification at Rawson Saunders Institute for Dyslexia Therapy in Austin, Tx. Hopefully, I will be fully certified by this coming Summer 2021. Secondly, I have a Masters of Education from Letourneau University (Longview, Tx) and a Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University (Huntsville, Tx). So you can say I am fully rounded in my career as an educator. Well, let me know if you have any questions and/or need help, my office hours and conference are back to back 1:40pm to 2:40pm. Just call the school and thank you so much for checking out my webpage. Sincerely, Ms. Crocker
