  • Welcome Parents and Students! I am looking forward to working alongside our awesome staff as we develop relationships with each of you as we prepare our students for life beyond the walls of Cedar Creek High School.

I began my teaching career in 1998 in Malvern ISD as a special education teacher. I moved to Arlington, TX where I spent two additional years teaching special education students in Duncanville ISD.  I starting my teaching career in Bastrop ISD in 2001 at Bastrop Intermediate School. While in BISD, I have served as a special education teacher, special education department chair, ARD Facilitator, 504 Facilitator, and Educational Diagnostician.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communication and my Masters of Science in Education from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR. I earned my Educational Diagnostician Certification and Principal Certification from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.

I am honored for this opportunity to continue to serve Cedar Creek High School and Bastrop ISD. It’s my goal to help make Cedar Creek High School a safe and challenging learning environment for all of our students.

    Honored to serve,

    A. LaNelle Staples
