New Student Enrollment
Bastrop ISD accepts enrollment from all students within the District boundaries who meet age, residency, and health requirements. Below are answers to frequently asked questions about enrollment. If you have other questions not answered here, please email email@example.com or contact Bastrop ISD at 512-772-7100.
Where will my child attend school?
Students are required to attend school in the attendance zone of their primary residence, with some limited exceptions for students enrolled in special programs. General information on BISD attendance zones is available on the Attendance Boundaries & Maps page. If you need further assistance determining which attendance zone you live in, please contact our student transportation provider, GoldStar Transit, at 512-321-5262.
When will new student enrollment sessions and Pre-K/Kindergarten Kick Start be offered?
Due to the COVID-19 school closure, spring new student enrollment sessions on campus have been cancelled. Parents with students who are new to the district and/or did not complete the 2019-2020 school year at a BISD school should plan to complete the online enrollment application process instead. If parents need assistance with this process, or have questions about required documents, a phone or virtual enrollment appointment can be requested with the campus registrar. High school counselors are also scheduling virtual appointments with incoming high school students after the enrollment application is received. Visit the Get Started page to get started.
What documents will I need for enrollment?
Please visit the Bastrop ISD What You Need to Enroll page.
How do I submit required documents?
All required documents should be uploaded as part of the online enrollment application with the exception of birth certificate and parent/guardian photo ID. These two original documents must be provided to the campus registrar in person. If you are unable to upload the documents successfully during the online enrollment application process, please contact your campus registrar for assistance.
Please Note: All required documents and your completed and approved enrollment application are due to the campus registrar no later than Friday, August 14th in order to attend school on the first day of classes (Tuesday, August 18th).
Where can I get a certified copy of my child's birth certificate?
