Biology

Welcome to Biology. Biology is the study of living organisms and their processes. Students will develop scientific process skills, laboratory techniques, and an understanding of the fundamental principles of living organisms. In the first semester we will explore : ecology, biochemistry, types of cells, viruses, cell structure and function, the cell cycle, molecular genetics, heredity and biotechnology. In the second semester we will explore biological diversity, taxonomy, cellular energy, protists, fungi, plants, and animal body systems.
