Josh Coy is a proud fifth-generation resident of Bastrop, deeply rooted in the community he calls home. He dedicated 14 years to education—12 of those with Bastrop ISD—before transitioning into a role in Business and Community Development with Bluebonnet Electric, where he spent three years fostering local growth and connection.

Josh has a strong passion for community service, having volunteered and served in numerous leadership roles. These include positions on the Board of Directors for the Colony Municipal Utility District No. 1C, the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, the Governmental Affairs Committee, and the Chamber's Board of Directors. He also serves on the Executive Committee for Bastrop Sportsmen’s, an organization that raises funds to support grants through the Bastrop Education Foundation.  He is currently the VP of Treasury Management for First National Bank of Bastrop.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Josh especially enjoys baseball and cheering on his children, Lanie and Joey, in their athletic pursuits. He and his college sweetheart, Angela, have been happily married for 20 years
