Bond 2023

In May 2023, Bastrop ISD voters passed the 2023 bond, totaling $321.5 million.

The support of the community in passing this historic bond allows the District to build new schools and upgrade facilities for the benefit of our students and staff.

• Build multipurpose facility to house BISD Police administration and district operational support
• Install additional security cameras at all schools
  

Major Capital Improvements
$30,998,000

• Finishes exterior and interior building renovations to align with major improvements underway as part of the 2021 Bond Program at BHS/CCHS
• Renovates of spaces for additional classrooms, driveway improvements, and site signage at CRCA/GHS
• Playground equipment and furniture at BES, CCE, EES, LPE, RRE

New Schools & Classroom Expansion
$272,774,000

• Builds two elementary schools (#9 and #10)
• Demolishes and replaces remaining aging buildings at Mina Elementary
• Turns intermediate schools into middle schools
• Adds dance studio, kiln room, and art/choir expansion at BMS/CCMS
• Constructs new academic buildings at BHS/CCHS
• Builds secure vestibule at Gateway and expands cafeteria and nurse's clinic
