NOTICE OF UNCLAIMED PROPERTY
The following property is presumed abandoned and subject to Chapter 76 of the Texas Property Code. Any person possessing a legal or beneficial interest in the following property may obtain information concerning the amount of the property and establish your right to receive the property by presenting proof of the claim to:

Unclaimed property may include uncashed vendor payments, refunds, reimbursements, or payroll.
Bastrop ISD is currently holding unclaimed checks, written by Bastrop ISD, with values of $100.00 or less.
Unclaimed checks over $100.00 are sent to the State of Texas and must be claimed through the Texas Unclaimed Property Search website. https://claimittexas.org
If your name appears on the Bastrop ISD Claimant List – Payroll or Bastrop ISD Claimant List – Accounts Payable and you agree this money is due to you, please complete the Claim Form and follow the instructions to submit your request for a replacement check.
In addition to the claim form:
- Current Bastrop ISD employees must provide a copy of their security badge
- Individuals who are not current Bastrop ISD employees must provide a copy of their current driver’s license
- Business claimants must provide a business card and their current driver’s license

Replacement checks will be issued within approximately 30 days of receipt of request.
No commercial or finder fee is charged. However, if you choose to use a commercial service, please note that Texas law limits the fee by all search firms or investigators that assist owners in locating or claiming property to no more than 10 percent of the amount recovered.
