Wellness Plan
Federal law requires all schools participating in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program to establish a Local Wellness Policy that supports student health, well-being, and academic success through healthy eating and physical activity.
Bastrop ISD's Local Wellness Policy addresses nutrition education, physical activity, competitive food standards, and other wellness initiatives that promote a healthy school environment for students across all grade levels. The district regularly reviews and evaluates the policy to ensure continued compliance with federal requirements and alignment with best practices that support student wellness.
