• Welcome to Kindergarten!

I am excited about the opportunity to get to know you and your child. I am looking forward to a happy and productive school year! This year, your child will grow in math, reading, writing, science and social studies. I really want to stress that I believe children should take a very active role in their education. I believe children respond better and become more involved in their education if they can have input into their learning. Your child will be expected to take responsibility for their learning and for the quality of work they produce. I will be here to guide and teach your child how to become better thinkers and problem solvers.

I also hope to create a comfortable classroom environment where both you and your child will feel welcomed. I feel that communication with parents/guardians is the key. Studies show that parental involvement in a child's education is one of the strongest indicators of student achievement. I hope you will make it a priority this year to attend as many school-sponsored events as possible.

I think that together we can create the best possible learning environment and experience for your child.
