Learning should be fun.
When students enjoy what they are learning, engagement and retention increase.
My Mantra -- At the end of the day, would I have wanted MY own child to have been a student in my classroom?
When you enter my classroom you will be entering a family environment where each child is viewed as an individual. My students are encouraged to use today's technology to explore their interests and to become innovative thinkers and learners.
This will be my 23rd year in the classroom, however I approach each year with the enthusiasm and zest of a first year teacher. Each year I strive to create a fresh, creative and exciting classroom environment. There is ALWAYS something STRANGE going on in our classroom!
A little about me.....
I am a 1994 graduate of Huston-Tillotson University (then College). My initial degree is in Generic Special Education with an emphasis on Behavior Modification and Gifted Education. I also hold a Master's degree in Reading Education from Texas State University in San Marcos (Bobcat Proud!)
Through the years, I have developed a passion for encouraging the gifts and talents of all students in my classes. I work to extend my knowledge so that my students are always given opportunities to use cutting edge technology and are exposed to tools that they will use in their lives.
