About Me

  • Being in public education is a change of career for me. I spent over 10 years in the real estate industry and realized that I wanted to help be a chance in our society. In 2016, I graduated Cum Laude from Lamar University, with a Bachelors Degree in General Studies with a focus on communication, human development and family studies. This past May, I finalized my graduate studies from Angelo State University earning a Master's Degree in Education specializing in Guidance and Counseling.

My husband, Richard, and I have been married for 9 years. He is a high school math teacher and coaches baseball and football. We have two little boys; Trent is in Kindergarten, and Cullen is in Pre-K. They are ALL boy, and we love every minute of it! In our 'spare' time we love DIY home projects, traveling and family get togethers in our back yard.
As fourth graders, we are pushing the envelope every day and with every lesson to find out who we are as writers, discovering an unknown world through reading and learning where we came from through Texas history. It is critical for our students to dive into their own ideas, and set themselves up for success within their education.
