• About Me

I grew up in rural south Austin and attended Del Valle schools from K-12. While in high school and college, I taught Karate and tutored elementary students. After graduating from Texas State University in 2002 with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies (AKA Education, Certification grades 1-8, ESL), I moved to Bastrop and began my teaching career in Del Valle where I taught 5th grade for four years. Because I wanted to be a bigger part of Bastrop, I began teaching at Emile. This is my thirteenth year teaching 4th grade here, and I can’t imagine myself teaching anywhere else. I love, love, LOVE my small town and plan on living and teaching here forever!!

My son, Jaxon, is a sixth grader at Bastrop Intermediate this year. Sports are a big part of our family! Jaxon loves to play baseball!  We are HUGE football fans and love the Green Bay Packers. He and I enjoy spending time with our little mix pups, Bella and Buddy.

Teaching is my passion and what I love to do for fun! I am looking forward to a great year with you!
