Mrs. Nations began working as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology for BISD in 1999. In 2001, she became a counselor for Cedar Creek Intermediate/Middle School, where she counseled students for 15 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Spanish and a master’s degree in School Psychology. She also completed post-graduate work for licensure as a Professional Counselor and Counselor Supervisor. Mrs. Nations participated in the University of Mississippi’s Master of Arts in the Teaching of Languages- Spanish program and enjoyed teaching Spanish at Colorado River Collegiate Academy and Genesis High School the two years prior to coming to Bastrop Middle School. She is very grateful and excited for the opportunity to help address the behavioral, academic, and social/emotional needs of the students at Bastrop Middle School through counseling, small groups, mentor coordination, consultation, and coordination of services within the school and community.
