    Assistant Principal: Elissa Adams

    Elissa Quintero Adams serves the students of Cedar Creek Middle School as an assistant principal.  Adams has worked for BISD for 16 years.  This tenure includes 11 years as a science teacher, 2 years as a science specialist, and 3 years as an assistant principal. Adams graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Texas State University and earned a Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University.

    Mrs. Adams views a collaborative school environment as the key to creating successful teachers and students and life-long learners. She believes partnerships with parents and the community are essential to enriching education.

     Mr. Sanchez

    Assistant Principal: Joseph Sanchez

    Joseph Sanchez was born and raised in a small west Texas town where he cherished the opportunities that helped shape him. His upbringing afforded him the opportunity to take part in every activity the school had to offer, giving him a wide variety of academic and extra-curricular experience. These opportunities led him to Sul Ross State University under a full tuition scholarship where he worked towards an English and Psychology degree.  Mr. Sanchez later attended Texas State University to attain his teacher’s certification.

    As a professional, Mr. Sanchez has had the privilege of working in both the academic and athletic realms of a school.  He has received state honors as both an athletic and academic state UIL coach and led a campus to a Blue Ribbon recognition for improved test scores.  Mr. Sanchez later attended Texas State University to pursue his Master’s degree where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was inducted into numerous collegiate national honor societies.

    When not at work, Mr. Sanchez is a self-proclaimed book nerd who has an affinity for the classics.  He holds a passion for traveling and considers backpacking through Europe as his greatest trip to date.  Mr. Sanchez considers himself an avid outdoorsman and a fan of all sports.  You can email Mr. Sanchez at jsanchez@bisdtx.org.


     Mrs. Bennight

    Assistant Principal: Natalie Bennight

    Natalie Bennight is excited to be a part of Cedar Creek Middle School.  This is my twentieth year with Bastrop ISD.  Each year she looks forward to meeting new students and their families.  In addition she embraces this opportunity to work with you to provide our students with a safe, engaging and memorable middle school experience.

    Mrs. Bennight earned her Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southwest Texas State University. After a few short years of teaching she returned to the classroom and earned her Master of Education in Educational Administration from Texas State University. Mrs. Bennight has taught Special Education, has been a Special Education Department Chair, and Cheer Sponsor.  She also has enjoyed being an Assistant Principal for most of her tenure at Bastrop ISD.

    Mrs. Bennight is the proud mother of three awesome children.  She and her husband reside in Bastrop, TX.
