I grew up in Austin and am so happy to now be enjoying the small town life.  I love the wide open spaces of the land, the silhouette of live oaks against a sunset, wildflower meadows, and all of the other beautiful things that come with living here.

Faith and family are very important to me.  In my free time, I most love to be out in nature exploring with my dog, photographing wildlife, traveling to see the National Parks, gardening, sewing, reading, listening to old records, and painting.  I also love writing poetry.

    Teaching and Education:

Growing up, I was first inspired to pursue education by the history of one-room schoolhouses, like those of the pioneer era.  They always fascinated me.  After graduating high school in Austin, I attended Texas State University, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Education.  This is my first year at RRE and in 2nd grade!  I have also taught 1st grade.  I am so excited to be here and get to work with such amazing, sweet students every day.
