• About Me:

I grew up in Austin and am so happy to now be enjoying the small town life.  I love the wide open spaces of the land, the silhouette of a live oak against a Texas sunset, a sprawling bluebonnet meadow, and all of the other beautiful things that come with living here.  After graduating high school in Austin, I attended Texas State University, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Education in 2015.

Faith, family, and nature & the environment are very important to me.  In my free time, I most love to enjoy time outdoors with my dog, photograph wildlife, explore (especially in the mountains), travel to see the National Parks, garden, sew, read, and paint.  I also love writing poetry.

A few of my favorite things...

Books- everything by Laura Ingalls Wilder

Color- blue, especially turquoise and cobalt

    Animal- Sifaka Lemur

    Travel place- Colorado's Rocky Mountains

    Music- 1960s/70s folk, christian

    Sport- America's favorite pastime, baseball

    Teaching:

This is my first year at RRE and in 2nd grade!  I have also taught 1st grade.  I am so excited to be here and get to work with such amazing, sweet students every day!  My teacher heart was first inspired to pursue education by the history of one-room schoolhouses, like those in the pioneer era.  I have always been fascinated by them.
