Absence notes can be submitted by:

Immunizations

Is your child up to date on all immunizations required to start school? Visit bisdtx.org/shots for more information on immunization requirements. If your student receives immunizations over the summer, please email them to vaccines@bisdtx.org

Medication/Health Forms

A doctor’s order is required for any medications brought to school, both prescription and over the counter. If you need to request a doctor’s order, we encourage you to do so during the summer to make sure you have the necessary documentation as we start the school year. Cedar Creek Middle School

Creekside Middle School

August 8, 2026

• 6th grade Hawk Camp from 8:45-11 am@CMS
  • Students will receive a mesh backpack upon arrival for orientation, and have the opportunity to pick up their class list, when they purchase their Chromebook Protection Plan. Students will learn what it means to be a Creekside Hawk, learn about their new Chromebooks, and tour the building. While students are making new friends, parents will be in their own session learning more about Creekside Middle School systems, processes, and student expectations.

Riverside Middle School

August 11, 2026

• 7th and 8th grade students
  • Students can pick up their schedules anytime between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm in the front office
• 6th grade and New Student Riverside Roundup at 5:00 pm in the gym
  • Students can pick up their schedules and tour the campus

Bastrop High School

August 11, 2026

• 9th grade and 10th-12th New Student Bear Camp from 3:30-5 pm (student only tour)
• Parent Meeting starting at 5 pm (cafeteria)
  • Students will learn about and sign up for clubs/organizations, get their schedule (9th grade only), and meet admin and counselors.

Cedar Creek High School

July 30, 2026

• Cedar Creek High School invites the Class of 2030 to attend Flight School Orientation on Thursday, July 30. Families can choose from sessions at 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, or 6:30 P.M. Topics will include staff introductions, graduation requirements, the school day, campus-wide expectations, and device pickup following each orientation session. A $15 device insurance fee will be collected by cash or card. Orientation meetings will be offered in both English and Spanish.

Bastrop ISD uses ParentSquare for school communication. Parents have the option to enroll for email, text and/or app notifications in their selected language. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number.

If your school is not listed, don’t worry! School supply lists for each specific class will be provided the first week of school. To be prepared, we encourage students to bring basic supplies such as a pencil, pen, and notebook on the first day.

Bastrop ISD provides Chromebooks for 6th-12th grade students for use at home and school. To protect your family against accidental damage, loss, or theft, we encourage you to enroll in the BISD Protection Plan. Enroll early to take advantage of our $15 rate, which is available through August. If you have no claims during the school year, your fee and coverage will carry over to the next. Please note that incoming 6th and 9th graders must enroll in a new plan to begin coverage. You can complete your enrollment and payment online using the link below.
