BISD high school students can win a FREE Jeep!

Drive Sames 4 Education attendance initiative kicks off third year at Bastrop ISD

We are excited to partner with Sames Auto Group for the third annual Drive Sames 4 Education Perfect Attendance Initiative in Bastrop ISD. The grand prize for the 2024-2025 school year is a brand-new 2024 Jeep Compass from Sames Auto Group. To sweeten the deal, the winner of this new vehicle will have their tax, title, and license fees covered by Prosperity Bank.
How does it work?
The program is open to all students enrolled in Bastrop High School, Cedar Creek High School and Colorado River Collegiate Academy. High school students with perfect attendance during each nine weeks receive vouchers from their campus. These vouchers will then be submitted at either of the Sames dealerships in Bastrop or Cedar Creek. In May, all vouchers will be entered into a drawing and a total of 16 semi-finalists will be selected to advance to the final giveaway. This will include six students each from Bastrop and Cedar Creek high schools and four students from Colorado Collegiate Academy. The final winner will be selected prior to the Cedar Creek High School graduation on Thursday, May 22. In addition, the remaining 15 semi-finalists won't walk away empty-handed, they will each receive a smart device, courtesy of Sames Auto Group.
“We are grateful for another year of partnering with Sames Auto Group on this initiative," said Barry Edwards, Bastrop ISD Superintendent. "This is a unique and exciting way to motivate our students and highlight the importance of daily attendance in achieving academic goals."
In its twelve years, the Drive Sames 4 Education Program now encompasses school districts in five cities, including Bastrop. Each school year, the program recognizes students with perfect attendance by giving them an opportunity to win a new vehicle. In the 2024-2025 academic school year, the program will award a total of five new vehicles to five students that have earned perfect attendance, one from each school district. This expansion reflects Sames Auto Group’s ongoing commitment to promoting educational excellence and supporting student success in the communities they proudly serve.
“At Sames Auto Group, we believe that investing in the education of our youth is the foundation for a stronger future. Expanding the Drive Sames 4 Education Program across Texas is a reflection of our dedication to the communities we serve and our commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of students,” said Evelyn Sames, CEO of Sames Auto Group.
