CRCA Student Earns Commended Recognition in the
2018 National Merit© Scholarship Program
(Bastrop) – The Colorado River Collegiate Academy announced that Kieran Dunn has been named a Commended Student in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, will be presented by Principal Martin Conrardy.
“Kieran has proven to be a leader inside and outside the classroom at CRCA,” said Conrardy. “I congratulate him on this well-deserved honor!”
About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although Dunn will not continue in the 2018 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, he placed among the top scorers of more than 1.6 million students who entered the 2018 competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).
Bastrop ISD is located 30 miles southeast of Austin and serves nearly 11,000 students from the communities of Bastrop, Cedar Creek, Red Rock, Rockne, Paige and other rural areas of Bastrop County.
