Mike White Named Chief Financial Officer
(BASTROP, TX) - Mike White has been named Chief Financial Officer for Bastrop ISD. This role oversees the financial and business affairs of the district, including budget development and management, payroll, purchasing, debt services, and accounts payable. He also will oversee the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) and outsourced partners for child nutrition and transportation. White will begin the position on January 6, 2025.

White has 22 years of financial leadership experience from across North Texas. He began his career at Skyward in Austin, and one of his first districts to support was Bastrop ISD. He also has served as Business Manager for Canton ISD, Chief Budget Manager for Dallas County Schools, and Assistant Superintendent for Business Services at Highland Park ISD. White was CFO at Crandall ISD and the International Leadership of Texas Charter Schools. In addition to his CFO experience, White has held leadership positions in the Dallas-Fort Worth Texas Association of School Business Officials, serving as secretary, vice president and president.

White holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Baylor University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He also holds a Superintendent Certification from Texas A&M Commerce and is a Registered Texas School Business Administrator (RTSBA).
Mike and his wife Emily have five children - Michael, Andrew, Major, Ben, and Maddie - two of whom graduate from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of North Texas this month.
