Diana Greene Named Chief Human Resources Officer
(BASTROP, TX) - Diana Greene has been named the Chief Human Resources Officer for Bastrop ISD. In this role, Greene will lead the district’s efforts to recruit, develop, and retain high-quality staff while overseeing the daily operations that support employee success and organizational growth. She will begin her new position immediately.
“I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity,” said Greene. “Bastrop has always been home for me. As a Bastrop High School graduate and someone who’s spent the past 30 years working in this district, it’s an honor to step into this role. Bastrop ISD is in a wonderful place, and I’m excited to build on that momentum. I look forward to supporting our staff and ensuring our schools remain exceptional places to work and learn.”
Greene’s roots in the community run deep. She has dedicated her entire professional career to Bastrop ISD, bringing over 30 years of experience in public education — with 18 of those years specifically in Human Resources leadership roles. Her commitment to the district and its people has made her a trusted leader and a familiar, dependable presence among staff and families alike.
Diana has most recently served as the Director of Human Resources where she oversaw the day-to-day operations across the district, including hiring, staffing, employee relations and pay structures. Prior to that she was the Human Resources Coordinator for three years and the Talent Acquisition and Development Administrator.

Her broad experience in HR, combined with deep institutional knowledge of all things BISD, make her an excellent addition to the team. Greene holds a Master's degree in Management and Leadership and a Bachelor's of Science - Business degree in Human Resources Management, both from West Governors’ University.
Outside of work, Diana enjoys spending time with her two daughters and grandchildren.
