Lost Pines Elementary Principal Melinda Gardner and her staff have become part of a growing movement where educators are painting positive messages all along their campus halls.
During the last few weeks of summer, LPE staff used their own money and dedicated their time to paint these messages, which focus on spreading positivity and kindness.
Many of the messages are painted in the boys and girls bathrooms. This is a place where students often need a moment to calm down when their upset.
The Austin American Statesman wrote an article about LPE's efforts as well as several other Austin area schools participating in this movement.
