BISD Communications Department Earns Multiple State Awards

Congratulations to our Bastrop ISD Communications Department for winning multiple Star Awards at the annual Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) conference which took place February 26 - 29 in Sugar Land, Tx.
During the Awards Banquet on February 28, 2024, the department received a total of six awards, including a Best of Category award and five Gold Star awards. The Best of Category award for the District’s 2023 Bond Overview video in Spanish serves as a testament to the District's and department’s dedication to ensuring everyone in Bastrop ISD has the opportunity to be connected and informed. The award-winning entries can be found at the bottom of the page.
"These awards are a direct reflection of the department's skills, creativity, and commitment to effectively communicating and engaging with all stakeholders in Bastrop ISD," said Cassie Balderas, Director of Communications & Marketing.
TSPRA is a nonprofit, professional organization dedicated to promoting public schools through effective communications. The annual Star Awards celebrate outstanding work in education communications and public relations. Award entries are separated into one of three different categories based on student enrollment: less than 15,000 students, 15,000 to 40,000 students, and more than 40,000 students. Bastrop ISD competes in the less than 15,000 students category.
