Credit Lost Due to Attendance

Report cards were posted online on Friday, January 11. If you have a star nextto the semester grade, you have lost credit for the semester due to attendance. Students who attended at least 76% of the time last semester may make uphours to regain the credit. We are offering two double hour Saturday schools January 12 and 19 to help students regain these credits. Attendance hours must be made up by January 21st for any credits lost for this Fall semester. Students who do not turn in all attendance hours owed by January 21st at 4:30 p.m. You will lose credit for those classes and have to take each course in credit recovery.

AP Exams

On Monday, January 14th, students who are enrolled in an AP course will receive an AP Student bulletin, this letter and this registration form. Students
may begin to register for the exams starting Tuesday, January 15th with a $15 deposit. Final payment for all AP exams is due to Mrs. Medley in the AP office on April 29, 2019.

Junior Parent Meeting Presentation

If you missed the junior parent meeting Thursday evening, you can view the presentation online. If you have questions regarding your student’s course
selections for next year, please contact your student’s counselor.

Student please turn in any textbooks you are not using to the AP Office. Especially if you are not in that class for 2nd semester. You will be responsible for the full price of the textbook, if it is not returned.

BHS Bear Stage Theatre presents The Addams Family Musical. Next Thursday, Friday and Saturday, January 17th-19th at 7pm at the PAC. Tickets are $5.00 WITH YOUR STUDENT ID. You can purchase tickets at the door starting at 5:30pm. Mrs. Tapia will be asking teachers to give students extra credit for attending the show and filling out a form with her signature and give it to your teacher. Ask your teachers if they will be accepting this extra credit opportunity. This will count as one required performance for any of Tapia's theatre courses.

We all like to escape into other worlds sometimes, and if movies are your thing, join The Film Club this semester. We'll watch several movies, munch on
popcorn and talk with others who also love movies. The first meeting will beafter school in room 704 on Tuesday, January 22nd. To be on the roster, makesure to stop by room 704 or 219 with a list of your All-Time Top Ten Favorite
Movies by Monday the 14th.

Seniors, if you turned in a baby picture to Mrs. Stephenson for yearbook, please stop by room 300 to pick up your picture.

UIL Math Calculator Meetings in room 306 from 8:00 - 8:35 on Wednesdays.

Students if you are looking for a group to belong to, a way to give back to your community, and a way to earn community service and volunteer hours please see Ms. Barbara in the counseling office about joining the Youth Advisory Board.

Chess Club meets on Thursdays from 8:00am - 8:35am in room 306. Come on out and show your skills or come and learn how to play.
