I’m honored to serve as the inaugural Principal at Colony Oaks Elementary School. I am confident that together with our students, families, and our staff that we will create a school community where everyone feels welcomed and has a passion to learn and grow.
I have over 16 years of experience in education, proudly serving 11 of those years in Bastrop ISD. My experience includes teaching kindergarten and first grade in both Bastrop and Hillsboro schools (2007-2013) as well as elementary leadership roles as Response to Intervention Coordinator (2013-2015) and Instructional Coach (2015-2018) for Red Rock Elementary. I transitioned to campus administration in 2018 when I became an Assistant Principal at Bastrop Intermediate School and then named Principal in 2020 where I’ve served for the past three years.
I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio as well as a master’s degree in Education Administration from Lamar University. We call Bastrop home and if I’m not at school, I’m spending time with my husband and three boys ages 12, 14, and 20 on a soccer, football, or baseball field.
I appreciate the confidence and trust that others have in me to open and lead Colony Oaks Elementary, and I will devote myself to ensuring that students, staff, and families have a place and a part in our future success. Go Cougars!
