I began my teaching career in 1985 after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Education and a minor in Psychology. Austin ISD employed me for 7 years as a Kindergarten teacher before I made Bastrop my home. Working for Bastrop has allowed me to broaden my range of teaching abilities from classroom teacher, Title 1 teacher, and now a Gifted/Talented teacher and facilitator.
I am married with two wonderful children. My son graduated from Bastrop High School in 2010 and my daughter graduated from Bastrop High School in 2017.
Due to the budget cuts, my position as G.T. support teacher is split between two campuses. I currently split my time between Cedar Creek Elementary and Red Rock Elementary. This is no way inhibits my ability to provide for the needs of the gifted children and their parents. I am here as an advocate for you and your children.
