Cedar Creek Middle School is proud to offer the Texas Afterschool Centers on Education (ACE) program. Studies show that students participating longer in a high quality after school program experience measurable improvements such as: improved grades, decreased absences, increased grade promotion, higher test scores in English and Math, and fewer disciplinary incidents in middle school.
The ACE program is administered by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and is funded by the 21st Century Community Learning Centers initiative of the U.S. Department of Education.
Texas ACE© has four basic program requirements:
- Tutorials for students;
- Enrichment activities for students to explore science, technology, and the arts;
- Activities and training that help families support their students to be successful at school; &
- Guidance that helps students and their families access information about college and careers.
The primary goal of the program is to foster each student’s academic success by improving attendance, behavior, and academics which lead to grade level promotion.
A full-time Site Coordinator will collaborate with the campus principal, instructional coaches, and the teachers of students enrolled in the program to ensure that academic and enrichment programming is tailored to meet students’ unique needs.
ACE at Cedar Creek Middle School is offered before school from 7:35 AM to 8:20 AM and afterschool at 4:20 p.m. and ends at 6:30 p.m.
Bus Transportation is provided.
