Winter Break COVID Protocols
Bastrop ISD will be closed for Winter Break December 18, 2020 through January 3, 2021. During this period, Bastrop ISD will not be collecting, tracing or reporting student and staff COVID cases (with the exception of the first weekend of the break, extracurricular and STARS). Our school nurses and staff need the break physically and mentally to rest and spend time with their families.
Holiday Travel
To minimize the spread of COVID-19, Bastrop ISD recommends that students and staff stay home this holiday season and only gather with those in their immediate family. In addition to continuing to wear masks, wash hands frequently, and limit social gatherings, we recommend following the travel guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC): https://www.cdc.gov/

Extracurricular Participation During Break
There are a number of extracurricular activities that are scheduled during the Winter Break. For students who participate in extracurricular activities, please notify your coach or director and stay at home if you have COVID-19 symptoms, an exposure, or a positive COVID test.
STARS Participation During Break
STARS students or staff should notify their site supervisor and stay at home if you have COVID-19 symptoms, an exposure, or a positive COVID test.
