Hello! My name is Calli Caperton. I am excited to be the new assistant principal here at LPE. I am originally from Leander, Texas, but I am currently enjoying life in Smithville. I have wanted to be in education since I was in elementary school. I have a passion for literacy instruction and helping kids grow into proficient readers. I believe education is the most valuable thing we can provide for our children. I went to Texas State and studied elementary education. I came to BISD in 2015 and taught 3rd and 4th grade as well as RTI in 5th and 6th grades. My favorite time in education so far has been as an instructional coach for the last three years. In my IC role, I was able to see teachers be the best they can be and see many more students make growth. As my eagerness to continue to learn grew, I pursued my masters in educational administration at Concordia University. I am excited to continue to grow as a leader in this wonderful district and even more thrilled to be at LPE. Some things to know about me: I have a twin brother named Caleb and an older sister named Danielle. I am a mom to two wonderful corgis named Oliver and Thea. Fun fact! I have never had even a single sip of coffee in my life! I can't wait to meet everyone when we return in August. I look forward to a great year!
