It is my honor to serve as the Assistant Principal at Lost Pines Elementary. I grew up in a small town in Northeast Texas and received my Bachelor of Science from A&M University in Texarkana. Upon graduation, I got married, moved to Austin and eventually went back to school to pursue my passion for education. I earned my Master’s in Education through the University of Texas’ Principal Preparation Program.
I began my educational career at Harmony School of Political Science and Communication in 2011 where I taught kindergarten and first grade. I transferred campuses in 2017 in order to serve as the ESL Coordinator for Harmony Science Academy in Cedar Park and spent time over that summer training teachers in Indonesia in best practices for engaging instruction.
When not on campus I spend time at home with my 16-year-old schnauzer mix who I adopted from the shelter as a puppy. I also enjoy traveling, going to new places and trying different things. I am always looking for a new adventure and love being an Explorer!
This is my first year in Bastrop ISD and I am looking forward to this new chapter. I feel so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community and have the opportunity to work with such amazing staff, students, and families!
