My name is Maria Neesman, and I am excited to introduce myself as I begin my second year as Assistant Principal at Bastrop Middle School. With over 44 years of experience in education, I bring a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the role.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching all grade levels, serving as a Behavioral Interventionist, and holding positions as both Assistant Principal and Principal. My journey in education has taken me from Austin, Texas to Omaha, Nebraska, and back to Texas, enriching my understanding of diverse educational landscapes.
I hold a Bachelor's degree from the University of Akron in Ohio, as well as two Master's degrees in Special Education and Secondary Administration. These qualifications have equipped me with a deep understanding of both instructional practices and educational leadership.
I am passionate about fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for students, collaborating with teachers to achieve academic excellence, and cultivating a positive school culture. I am eager to contribute my skills and experience to the continued success of BMS and its students.
