Laura Perry - Counselor
Ms. Perry is absolutely thrilled to be the Counselor at CCIS! She began her career in education as a Special Education Counselor in 1991, working with all grade levels. She has also worked as a School-based Clinician in schools in Alaska. She has served here in BISD since 2001. Having been a Counselor at the High School, Middle School, and Intermediate levels, she focuses on educating the students on how to reach their future goals.
She holds a Bachelor's degree with majors in Psychology and Spanish. Her Master degree is in Counseling and Guidance, with minors in Psychology and Sociology. Her teaching experience is as a Special Education teacher for 7th -12th graders in Language Arts, World History, World Geography, and Environmental Systems Science classes.
Certifications in ESL, Special Education, and Professional School Counseling along with her License in Professional Counseling equips her well to assist all students reach their educational goals and overcome obstacles along the way. Jacqueline Robbins- Communities In Schools Program Manager
Communities In Schools (CIS) Program Manager, Jacqueline Robbins, is excited to be a part of the Cedar Creek Intermediate team this year! CIS is a new program on campus focused on establishing one-on-one relationships with students in order to support them with obstacles to being successful in school. All CIS services are free, confidential, and take place during the school day.
Ms. Robbins is an LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) with an emphasis in working with children and adolescents, trauma, play therapy, the mind-body connection, and solution-focused counseling. Ms. Robbins has been working in schools through CIS since 2017. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Master's Degree in Social Work from The University of Texas.
