Welcome to a wonderful school year at Cedar Creek Intermediate. I am so excited to be teaching Response to Intervention (RtI) Math for 5th and 6th grade! This is my 20th year teaching and my fourth year in BISD. I am excited to be here! I have taught all subjects at some point in my career, but Math is what I love. I am a certified Math specialist, so I love teaching math all day.
When I am not at school, my family keeps me very busy. I am married with 4 children. My husband and I have been married 17 years. He is a wildland firefighter and has traveled to Russia and Germany to help others learn how to best fight wild fires. My oldest child, Mary, is in 11th grade at CCHS and is on the Varsity Eaglettes Drill/Dance team where she serves as Co-Captain. You can see her on the field at every Home Eagles game. She has been dancing since she was 2 years old and was a competitive dancer for 7 years. My son, Charles, is in 9th grade at CCHS and plays football. He was on the 8th grade A/B football teams. My daughter, Emma, is in 8th grade at CCMS and is my mini-me and loves Unicorns. She is playing on the 8th grade volleyball team this year. Lastly, my son, Niko, is in 3nd grade at CCES. In addition to my human family, we also have 11 dogs, 7 cats, 4 chickens, and 3 goat. Another interesting thing to know about me is that I am not a native Texan. I am originally from NH and boy do I miss the cooler weather and beautiful fall colors.
I look forward to getting to know you and your child this year.
GO EAGLES!
