Peirson Promoted to Principal of Bastrop Middle School
Bastrop ISD has named Tiffany Peirson as principal of Bastrop Middle School (BMS). Peirson has served as associate principal at Bastrop High School since 2021. She will assume the lead role at BMS effective immediately.
“I am so appreciative of the opportunity to lead Bastrop Middle School, a campus that has a special place in my heart,” said Peirson. “I am confident that by partnering together with teachers, parents, students, and our community, we will make Bastrop Middle School an amazing place to be! That is my focus!”
Peirson’s career in education began in 2010 as a middle school language arts teacher in the Boles Independent School District. In the same district, she later served as a high school teacher for grades nine through 12. Peirson came to Bastrop ISD in 2016 as a teacher and later instructional coach at Cedar Creek Middle School where she served until 2018. She then moved into administration, first as an assistant principal at Bastrop Middle School (2018-2020), then as an assistant principal and associate principal at Bastrop High School (2020-2023).
In her role as associate principal, Peirson was responsible for the instructional direction of the English department, monitoring each senior class to ensure students were on track for graduation, and supporting the principal in daily school operations including attendance and truancy prevention.
“We are excited to move Tiffany Peirson into the role as the leader of Bastrop Middle School,” said Superintendent Barry Edwards. “We’ve watched her grow in her teaching, coaching, and administrative practice, and our team feels confident that her unique knowledge of BMS, combined with her experience at Bastrop High School, will be the right mix to take BMS to the next level.”
Peirson holds a bachelor’s degree in speech communications from Texas State University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from The University of Texas-Tyler, where she graduated with honors. She also completed the N2Learning Principal Leadership Institute. She and her husband Brad have three grown sons, two of whom graduated from Bastrop ISD.
