  • Bastrop High School, located in Bastrop, Texas is nestled in the middle of Bastrop’s beautiful, historic downtown area and sits on the fringes of the Bastrop State Park, home to the famous Lost Pines. Established in 1898, Bastrop High School is the heartbeat of the community. Support and loyalty for this cherished high school runs deep and fierce.

    The campus achieved a Texas Education Agency Accountability Rating of Met Standard at the end of the 2016-2017 school year.

    Bastrop High School is a 5-A high school with more than 1,400 students enrolled. The student population is diverse, energetic, spirited. It is comprised of the following:

    Bastrop High School is proud to offer students rigorous course offerings and multiple career paths through Career and Technology Education (CTE) programs. Students have access to 15 advanced placement classes (AP), general tutorial classes five days a week; 42 clubs and organizations; offers all academic UIL events and 14 competition sports, including the Naval JROTC program.

    Through a partnership with Austin Community College, dual college credit courses are offered directly on the campus. The school has a college and career center operated by a full time career specialists and shares a college and career assistant with Cedar Creek HS. The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board data indicates that 52% of 2015 BHS graduates entered a post-secondary institution.
