• I have been teaching for BISD for 10 years. I teach 11th and 12th grade Health Science.  I teach two of the Health Science Clinical classes which includes preparation for the National Certification Exam in Certified Clinical Medical Assisting.  This class includes job-shadowing clinical rotations in Bastrop area health care facilities. The senior level Pharmacology and Practicum II of Health Science class prepares the students for the Pharmacy Technician certification exam.  Some of the students in this class do internships at Bastrop area health care facilities.

    I am one of the HOSA advisors and have traveled with my students to National and International competion.

    I take students on Service Learning tours through EFtours during the summers.  I have taken students to Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic and have trips planned for Peru in the summer of 2022 and Costa Rica in 2023.

    I am a RN and work part-time at an Austin area hospital.  I received my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree from Texas Christain Univeristy.  The majority of my 38 years as a nurse I have worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.  I have also worked as a school nurse for BISD and in home health and in the clinic setting.  

    I am married and have three children.

    My tutorial times are Mon-Fri 8:00-8:35 by appt.
