My name is Connie Ramirez, and this is my 5th year at BHS. I am the Assistant Cheer Coach and will be the co-teacher for English 3 and 4.
A little bit about me, I come from a Social Work background having graduated from Southwest Texas before the name changed to Texas State. I have been in education since 2016 but have had various experiences working with children prior to this. I have almost 20 years of working with the State of Texas. The last 15 years and 8 months were spent working with Child Protective Services. I LOVE working with children and doing what I can to not only protect them but to Educate them.
My husband and I have three children, two daughters and a son. We are super proud parents as my two oldest attended Colorado River Collegiate Academy (CRCA). My daughter was the Valedictorian of the first CRCA graduating class and my son just graduated as class Salutatorian. They are attending UT in Austin, my daughter (20) graduates in December 2020 with a Bachelors in Communication and Leadership while my son (18) will be attending his first year in the Cockrell School of Engineering and majoring in Mechanical Engineering. My youngest is a 6th grader at BIS this year and loves to anything to do with Art. She is quiet, friendly, loves to draw and is very creative.
If you ever need to get in contact with me, please feel free to email me at cramirez@bisdtx.org. Also, please utilize the School Status messaging system to ask any questions or get clarification on anything. If I do not know the answer, I will find it.
Even though we are starting the school year differently, we will have a great year! There is one thing I know FOR SURE about BHS - it is always a great day to be a bear.
