Bastrop ISD Student awarded brand new truck for perfect attendance
May 24, 2024
BASTROP, TEXAS – Texas’ oldest dealership helps make perfect attendance pay once again in the annual Drive Sames 4 Education Perfect Attendance Program. Sixteen finalists from Bastrop ISD high schools were selected out of over a thousand students earning perfect attendance vouchers through Colorado River Collegiate Academy, Bastrop High School, and Cedar Creek High School. This is the second year in a row that a student from Colorado River Collegiate Academy has won the new vehicle.
Alejandra Saldaña, a graduating senior at Colorado River Collegiate Academy, takes home a brand new 2024 Ford Maverick in the Drive Sames 4 Education Perfect Attendance Program. The Sames Auto Group created the Drive Sames 4 Education Perfect Attendance Program in 2013 to support attendance. Sames Bastrop Ford is providing the new 2024 Ford Maverick and Prosperity Bank will donate the tax, title, and license fees, which makes this vehicle completely free to Saldaña.
"Investing in the success of our youth is a key priority of our organization. Our Drive Sames 4 Education Program makes it exciting and fun to reward students who work hard to earn this achievement which is a fundamental component contributing to educational success.” said Evelyn Sames, Chief Executive Officer for the Sames organization. Sames will be on-site to reveal the lucky winner at this Thursday’s event.
“On behalf of Prosperity Bank, we are thrilled to be a part of this event and would like to congratulate all of the Finalists for their hard work and dedication to earn this achievement,” said Joann Cody, President of Prosperity Bank-Bastrop.
“On behalf of our Board of Trustees, I sincerely thank the Sames Auto Group for offering this incredible incentive to our students. It’s a partnership that we hope will continue for many years to come,” said Barry Edwards, Bastrop ISD Superintendent
The program will continue in the 2024/2025 school year.
