Howdy! My name is James "Prof. Techs" Lewey. This is my 17th year of teaching (5th in Bastrop ISD). I consider myself a lifelong learner and am currently pursuing a greater understanding of computer science, robotics, and fire/rescue/emergency "engineering". 

I am excited to help CCHS start the journey towards a new STEM pathway with a focus in computer science (STEM: Cybersecurity)!

To support this Computer Science pathway the following classes will be added to the Bastrop ISD Catalog:

• 2020-2021 school year:
  • Fundamentals of Computer Science (9th & 10th Grade)
  • AP Computer Science Principles (10th-12th Grade)
• 2021-2022 school year:
  • PLTW AP Computer Science A (11th-12th Grade)
• 2022-2023 school year:
  • PLTW Cybersecurity (12th Grade)
• 2023-2024 school year:
  • Replace Fundamentals of Computer Science with PLTW Essentials of Computer Science (9th & 10th Grade)

6th: Fundamentals of CS

7th: AP CS Principles

Students can come in for tutorials on Tuesday and Wednesday morning (8:25-9:00am). All other tutorial times by appointment only. 

All of our agendas and digital assignments are located in a Google Classroom that is accessible with the BISD Student Login.

Team & Club Meeting Times

• FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Team Practices: Tuesdays (4:30-6pm), Fridays (4:30-6pm), and Saturday mornings (9am-noon) in A110
• eSports Team Meetings: Spring 2023 Virtual (come by A110 to get on the list)
• CyberPatriot Team: 2022 Season is over. Practice Spring 2023 Schedule TBA in March
