To my BHS Bear Parents and Students,

I am Krystal Gabriel, Principal at Bastrop High School. 

My goal is to lead us in working hard every day, supporting students, and setting high expectations for them to be successful both inside and outside the classroom. It will take a team effort of teachers, students, our parents, and the support of our community to make it happen. We are all responsible for the success of BHS!

Students – work hard every day! Challenge yourself to be great and make positive decisions for yourself and your family. Take advantage of the support our campus offers and get involved with activities. Devote yourself to becoming a proud Bastrop Bear!

Parents – we want to hear from you. Please communicate with your child’s teachers and contact the office if you ever have any questions, concerns, or needs. I invite you to be part of the life of our campus and in your child’s educational experience--volunteer, join PTA, and attend our family and student events. You can find all this information on our website and Facebook page throughout the year.

I am looking forward to an amazing year at BHS and getting to know as many of you as I can. Thank you in advance for your support and your patience. We’re going to have a great year!
