Caleb McCreary

  • My name is Caleb McCreary and I am honored to be an Assistant Principal at Bastrop High School for the 2021-2022 school year. I am entering my ninth year in public education, all of which I have served at Bastrop High School.

Since coming to BHS, I have been involved in many different activities, from teaching U.S. History and Advanced Placement U.S. History to coaching football and softball. I have served in several leadership roles on campus, including as a PLC lead for US history and a department chair for social studies. I am excited to step into a new role and use my experience to help teachers master their craft and students realize their potential.

I have two children, Ethan and Alyssa. My son will be entering kindergarten this year and my daughter is loving life as a toddler. My wife of 12 years, Sarah, also works for Bastrop ISD.

My challenge and charge to the students of Bastrop High School comes from my personal journey: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.” I look forward to serving you this year! It is always a great day to be a BEAR!
