  • BHS Parents and Students:

As Associate Principal, I am honored to serve Bastrop High School’s dedicated staff, students, and parents and to be a part of our continued growth and success. I am committed to supporting the hard work of our faculty and staff.  We will focus on providing academic rigor through continuous, data-driven improvement and developing instructional practices that encourage a growth mindset. Our goal is for BHS to continue to be a place where our students can learn and grow academically and socially.

In my 25 years in education, I have served as a campus-based social worker, reading teacher, English teacher, department chair, instructional specialist, and campus administrator. I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas (HOOK’EM!) and my Master’s degree from Lamar University. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, camping, puzzles, and spending time with my family and friends.

Relationships are key to the success of any school, and I look forward to getting to know you this year.  Please let me know if I can be of assistance ckelly@bisdtx.org.
