Cedar Creek Elementary

Hi, my name is Jacob Peters. I'm honored to teach my 3rd grade students this year at Cedar Creek Elementary School. I hold a Bachelor's degree from Portland Bible College and a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Teacher Leadership from Concordia University Portland. I'm EC-6 General education certified, Science of Teaching reading certified, and ESL certified. I've also taught at The Language & Culture Institute in Oregon for 4 years as an ESL Teacher. In addition, I'm also a certified trainer for the Character Counts educational program, served as a Teacher, Coordinator, and an assistant to the Principal at the Oxford School of English in Monterrey, Mexico for 3 years. I have been at CCE since 2020 and I'm happy to be part of a great school community here where we are all proud to be Eagles! I grew up in Beaverton, Oregon and Gig Harbor, Washington over on the NorthWest Coast of the U.S. When I'm not in the classroom maximizing student learning, I'm usually with my wife and kids enjoying life. I also love spending time with family, friends, and getting outdoors for some type of activity. 

This year in 3rd grade we will be learning all different types of new things. We will all become Mathematicians by adding the operation of division to our tool belts, become avid readers and writers, more knowledgeable scientists and more. We will share our knowledge and understanding with each other as we encourage each other to keep learning because the sky is our limit. We will have fun while we learn while continuing to give our best efforts.
