Dr. Tammy Hernandez

  • Dr. Tammy Hernandez brings over 20 years of experience in education and a deep passion for supporting students both academically and personally. She is committed to fostering a love of reading and helping elementary students build the foundation for future success in school and beyond. Equally important to her work is guiding children in learning how to resolve conflict, be good friends, and advocate for themselves in healthy, respectful ways.

Family is at the heart of Dr. Hernandez’s life. She and her husband are proud parents of five children—Ben, Ally, Jackie, Taylor, and Kyle—whose accomplishments bring them immense pride. Their children’s paths span education, military service, and careers in the workforce. Dr. Hernandez is especially excited to be welcoming her first grandbaby in October.

Outside of school, she enjoys reading, doing diamond art, and spending time with family and friends. Looking ahead, she hopes to author a book—either an educational resource or a children’s book illustrated by her daughter.

Dr. Hernandez is honored to serve as principal of Cedar Creek Elementary and is dedicated to creating a school community where every student feels valued, supported, and prepared for success.
