ABOUT ME
I am excited to be working with students at Cedar Creek Elementary. I grew up in Smithville, Texas and attended college at Texas State University. I enjoyed living by the beaches of Florida for a while and have recently returned to my hometown. My passion is writing, and I write novels for fun.
I have been teaching since 2005 and joined CCE this school year. My bachelor's degree is in Criminal Justice and my master's degree in Education with an endorsement in Educational Leadership. I’ve taught English Language Arts in 6th – 12th grades and various grades in K-4th. I’ve also worked with adult learners in GED and English language courses.
This year I’m working as a Special Education teacher in Kindergarten - 4th grades. I will continue to develop our student’s literacy skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking as well as basic computation and understanding place-value concepts and skills in math.
