Our vision is to assist every Fine Arts student to transition to a meaningful postsecondary life through the arts.

Mission

The mission of the Bastrop ISD Fine Arts Department is to provide equitable access to opportunities as well as high-quality programs that foster connections to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to successfully express themselves individually and as a member of a group.

The Fine Arts Department offers a broad and enriching set of programs and services, including:

• Visual Arts K-12
• Elementary Music K-5
• Band 6-12
• Choir 6-12
• Theatre 6-12
• Dance 7-12
• Ballet Folklorico 7-12

At our elementary schools, we offer music education that allows students to understand the cultural and creative aspects of music and art. At the secondary level, fine arts classes center on both curricular and extra-curricular activities, and students are able to participate in a variety of activities through UIL and many other organizations.
