Police/Safety and Security (BISD)
The Bastrop ISD Police Department was created to ensure sufficient security and protection of students, staff, and property. Our mission is to work in partnership with the Bastrop ISD administration, schools, parents, and students and the Bastrop community in an effort to protect all citizens. We shall work vigorously to detect and prevent crime while recognizing and respecting the constitutional rights of all. We shall respond effectively to the changing needs of our school district and community, aid in the promotion of mutual respect between the police department and those we serve, and remain committed to creating and maintaining a safe educational environment for our students and staff.
Honor: Honor is the value of personal and professional accountability displayed through integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior.
We recognize the privilege of serving our school district and strive to treat everyone with dignity and respect while upholding the law.
Unity: When there is unity, there is strength. We will work together as one department to unite our schools, students, staff, and community to accomplish our mission together.
Integrity: We are committed to the highest standards of honesty, moral standards, and ethical conduct, which are the cornerstones of our profession. We will value and uphold the public trust in our commitment to our core values. This commitment holds true in both our personal and professional lives.
