Welcome to the Bastrop ISD Child Nutrition Department. Bastrop ISD, in partnership with TAHER, is committed to providing a quality food service program and recognizes the vital relationship between nutrition and education. The Child Nutrition department ensures that every student is offered a high-quality, well-balanced, nutritious meal at breakfast and lunch. All meals are planned and analyzed according to the USDA and Texas Department of Agriculture guidelines.

All Bastrop ISD campuses will operate the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2023-24 school year. Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge.

If you are the parent of a student in grades PK through 12, you will not need to complete the comprehensive free lunch application. Instead, you will fill out a simple, one-page socioeconomic form, which has important benefits to the district and your child.
