MISSION

The Bastrop ISD Police Department was created to ensure sufficient security and protection of students, staff, and property. Our mission is to work in partnership with the Bastrop ISD administration, schools, parents, and students and the Bastrop community in an effort to protect all citizens. We shall work vigorously to detect and prevent crime while recognizing and respecting the constitutional rights of all. We shall respond effectively to the changing needs of our school district and community, aid in the promotion of mutual respect between the police department and those we serve, and remain committed to creating and maintaining a safe educational environment for our students and staff.
