The purpose of the Information Technology Services department is to support the mission and ideals of Bastrop Independent School District by unifying technology resources, the engagement of students in their education, and the support of district staff and our community.

We accomplish this mission by delivering reliable and consistent customer service while ensuring the proper functionality, stability and security, and ongoing maintenance of technology systems throughout Bastrop Independent School District.

We manage district-wide infrastructure that connects over 20,000 devices with each other and the internet. Wired and wireless devices such as desktops, laptops, tablets, chromebooks, and video display systems are utilized to allow district students access to a world of knowledge. Communication is facilitated by voice-over IP phone systems, district email, video conferencing units, and online broadcasts. Additionally, an open system that incorporates multiple platforms into our learning environment has been implemented to assist the district in achieving its mission.
