Strategic Design Process & Plan

  • Mission: Future ReadyDuring the 2015-2016 school year, the District partnered with Engage2Learn to facilitate a collaborative and transformative Strategic Design process to help us grow teachers, coach leaders, and engage our community to achieve our highest hopes for our students.  Bastrop ISD students, parents, community members and staff completed surveys, participated in focus groups and attended community summits to provide input about what education should look like in Bastrop ISD. This process allowed us to determine our aspirations for educating the more than 10,000 students we serve each and every day.

The Strategic Design Team then created Bastrop ISD's valued behaviors and vision and used that information to develop a Learner Profile, a Teacher Profile, and a Leader Profile. Finally, subcommittees formed as part of the Strategic Design process integrated the profiles into the fabric of Bastrop ISD's educational process and operations.

The result is a Strategic Action Plan approved by Bastrop ISD Board of Trustees that will prepare our staff and students for comprehensive 21st Century teaching and learning.
